Aikido CV - John Carpenter
My name is John Carpenter and I started Mokuyobi Yoru Aikido Club having trained at Eastleigh Aikido Club for 6 years and achieving my Shodan (1st Dan Black Belt) in 2005. I have previous studied Judo and Ju-Jitsu though not to any great degree. I found Aikido purely by chance and have enjoyed every moment since starting. I am keen to "spread the word" since I feel that it is a non-agressive martial art and keeps me fit. I have competed in various competitions since starting and have been part of the British Aikido Association National Team for the Aikido World Championships in 2003 (Leeds) and also Team Captain for the National Team in 2007 (Ohio, USA).
